Recap of Summertime Pack Activities

posted Aug 30, 2012, 1:26 PM by Cubmaster Pack 1014

We typically had small crowds for our summer activities, but the boys who participated had lots of fun.  Among the activities they enjoyed were a kickball training followed by a game against the parents, Olympic themed activities including sprinting, jumping, throws and other athletics and a day where they learned the rules of ultimate Frisbee followed by a game.

Several scouts participated in camps led by the Great Lakes Council.  Donovan Krueger attended overnight camp with his dad, Jim, and Nicholas Shenouda attended the local cub scout day camp with his mom, Pam.  Those leaders will bring their experiences back to Pack 1014 to help us expand our pack participation going forward.

We also engaged the boys on a voluntary fitness activity which has the Presidential Fitness Program as a co-sponsor.  Each boy, working with their parent, had the opportunity to complete the requirements of the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award.  Just let me know if your son completed this program and we’ll get him on the list for the presentation of the award at the September meeting.
