Webelos2 2015-2016 First Den Meeting is on October 8th

Hi everyone,
Now that the first few of weeks of school are behind us, we're getting going with the 2015-2016 Webelo2 program for our cubscouts!
This year we'll be completing the Arrow of Light requirements to fully prepare the boys to move into boy scouts after the blue and gold banquet in March, 2016.
Tracy and I have updated the calendar on our website (www.pack1014.org) with upcoming meetings. (we are den 3)
This year our den meetings will be held on Thursday nights at Eastover (starting at 6:30, with finish times around 7:45p or so). Our first Den meeting will be on October 8th!.
We also have some activities planned for a couple of weekend days as well. Weekend events include:
Rocket Camp (D-Bar-A) (Oct 17th-18th)
Afternoon at the West Bloomfield Adventure Park (Oct 31st)
Afternoon at the Nature Center (Nov 14th):
Overnight at Cranbrook institue of Science (Nov 20th)
Detroit Redwings hockey game (Nov 29th - 2pm) - Note Corrected Date
Skiing at Pine Knob (Feb - exact day TBA)
Rocket Camp:
Troop 1005 (based out of Christ Cranbrook Church) has invited us to join them at D-Bar over the weekend of October 17-18th for a Rocket Camp! This is a great opportunity and will a great experience for the boys and I encourage everyone to participate if at all possible. (taking part in a boy scout camp (like this one) is actually one of the pre-requisites to obtain the arrow of light). During the day we'll be building/launching rockets, completing some required Webelos2 achievements, and participating in boy scout activities. On Saturday night of this camp, we'll also enjoy the Haunted Forest.
Costs are nominal, at $5.00. Parents should plan on joining their son over the weekend if at all possible (cabin space is available for parents if you don't want to sleep in a tent) - if you cannot attend with your son for the weekend, please let me know. so that I can arrange transportation, etc.
During our 1st Den meeting (October 8th) representatives from Troop 1005 will be at our meeting to give more details about the camp - please plan on attending this first den meeting to get more information.

Adventure Park (http://westbloomfieldadventurepark.org):
On Saturday October 31st (@1:30), we have an opportunity to try out the West Bloomfield Adventure Park rope and zipline courses! This course is a ton of fun, appropriate for all age levels, and the event is open to Webelos2 and their families. Please RSVP to me by October 12th. Costs per person is $31.00.
Den meetings:
Tracy and I will be sending out reminder emails a couple of days before each den meeting with an outline of planned activities. For each den meeting we would like everyone to bring their Webelos book and have your boys dress in their class A uniform (tan boy scout shirt or blue cub scout shirt) + neckerchief and slide.
We will be covering key Webelos2 Arrow Of Light achievements during our den meetings, but I encourage each boy to work at home on any other achievements/pins that are of interest to them. As your son completes achievements, Tracy or myself will be signing off completion in their respective Webelos handbooks.
Popcorn sales:
Reminder! We have started our annual popcorn sales fundraiser - under separate cover you should have all received general information about the sale (from our cubmaster or from Bill Sprague) and invitations to participate in weekend store sales (they start this weekend!). Please sign up for whatever time your son can! I've also attached a copy of the popcorn order form your convenience.
