Boy Scout Camporee

On Saturday, September 29, the Webelos joined the boy scouts from Troop 1005 at the North Star Camporee held at D-bar-A. In the morning, the Webelos participated in a nature conservation project which was removing an invasive species from a part of the camp. They also earned their Outdoorsman Activity Badge.

In the afternoon, the Webelos got to ride on a carousel, climb on monkey bridges and trestle bridges, shoot dogfood using slingshots, climb towers and launch a catapult. All of these were made using only wood and rope by the 13 boy scouts troops who attended.

We all had a fun time! Hopefully we get invited back next year and even more Webelos will be able to attend!
